Il Querciolo

Il Querciolo is a very old Valdichiana farm located in Badicorte, in the municipality of Marciano della Chiana. Today it is an entirely organic farm producing Syrah wine, olive oil, pulses and grains.
All of the farm’s land is Organic. The olive groves are all grassed over to counter against any droughts caused by climate change. The vineyards are all located in Badicorte, and they are also managed with organic practices, reducing the use of copper and sulphur to a bare minimum.
The winery was established in 2017 and currently produces around 4000 bottles per year, with two wines made from Syrah grapes and harvested in the farm’s own vineyards. Harvesting is done manually in September, using small crates to transport the grapes to the cellar. The grapes are processed with the goal of holding onto all the scents and aromas that are typical of this grape variety.
