It starts on 9 October at 5pm with the City of Grosseto Orchestra conducted by Maestro Damiano Tognetti. Joaquin Palomares will perform on the violin, playing music by Piazzola, Elgar, and Grieg.
It will continue on Sunday 23 October at 4 p.m. with the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the First Volume of Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier. Young talents will perform the complete version.
The next appointment is on Sunday 30 October at 5 p.m.: Milica Sperovik – Ribarski on piano and Kiril Ribarski on trombone will delight the audience with pieces by Debussy, Chopin, Albeniz, Ravel, De Falla, and Gagliardi.
Moving on to November, the first event will be on Sunday 6 at 4.30 p.m. with a tribute to Humberto Quagliata. After the lecture entitled ‘Art and humanity of Humberto Quagliata’ given by musician and critic Luca Ciammarughi, there will be a piano recital by Mario Prisuelos, a pupil of Maestro Quagliata.
Sunday 13 November at 5 p.m. with the piano duo Tami Kanazawa and Yuval Aldmony on music by Alexander, Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff and Liszt.
On Sunday 20 November at 5 p.m., soprano Miomira Vitas will be accompanied by her husband Kostantin Bogino on piano with pieces by Skrjabin, Viardot, Rachmaninov, Milankovic, Debussy and Tailleferre.
The last event of the festival will be on Sunday 27 November at 5 p.m., again with the City of Grosseto Orchestra. Conductor Giancarlo De Lorenzo will conduct Antonio di Cristofano at the piano on music by Haydn and Chopin.
