Fattoria Il Muro

Fattoria Il Muro has been owned by the Pancaro family for about 200 years, and it has always been focused on viticulture because of the environment’s favourable conditions. The marl-rich soils as well as the climate, with its significant temperature fluctuations due to its proximity to the Alpe di Poti, all create a micro-environment that enhances the organoleptic qualities and health of the grapes. This makes for environmentally friendly cultivation practices.
The vineyards and olive groves are mainly located on hilly terrain that gently slopes towards the valley plain of the Castro stream. The vineyard area covers about 30 hectares, where both native vines such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Trebbiano, Vermentino and Malvasia Bianca, as well as international varieties such as Merlot, Syrah and Chardonnay are cultivated. All the harvested grapes are processed in the historic wine cellar, known locally as “Cantina La Panchera”, named after the Pancaro family surname.
The company philosophy is rooted in producing wines that are pleasant, fresh and easily enjoyed by all.
