What to do in the four valleys around Arezzo at Christmas

The Cribs in Valtiberina

In Valtiberina you could stroll through the streets of Anghiari, dressed in light for the Anghiari di Natale event and offering a wide programme including an exhibition of cribs in the shops of the centre, until 9th January. Sansepolcro, Il Borgo del Natale, dresses up with a wide calendar of events that animates the historic centre every weekend, starting from 04th December until 06th January. Markets, shows, music and gastronomy. We also remind you of the Gricignano Nativity, one of the most interesting cribs in the area, and the “Great Nativity” in the church of St. Marta by the Local Society of Porta Romana. Angels and Theatre in Valdichiana

In Valdichiana, from 27th November to 09th January, in the cheerful village of Cortona, you will enjoy the Christmas Cortona, City of Angels  event. Here you will be enchanted by the markets and itinerant shows. You will also have fun on the ice rink, visit Santa’s House and attend exciting concerts. Christmas for Kids in Valdarno

Valdarno celebrates Christmas in joy! In Montevarchi, from 04th December to 06th January, the E’ Natale in Montevarchi event with weekends of entertainment for children in the historic centre, musical video projections in Piazza Varchi, the Gospel Concert, the Exhibition with works by Antonio Ligabue at the Palazzo del Podestà, and the Exhibition with works by Venturino Venturi at the Museo del Cassero will win you over. The Nativity Scene in Motion in Casentino

In Casentino, in the suggestive mountain village of Chiusi della Verna – a natural nativity scene town – you will find about ten beautiful cribs displayed along the streets of the town, in addition to the Great Nativity Scene in motion located in the Pro Loco headquarters, in via Roma 22.
