A journey between history and art, the charm of exhibitions

The charm of history and art is the leitmotif of three exceptional temporary exhibitions that can be visited in the Arezzo area. In Monte San Savino at the Logge dei Mercanti “Between Popes and Grand Dukes”, an exhibition that allows the general public to know the history of the city in its most splendid period, the Renaissance, through works from the Uffizi Gallery and the Museum National of the Bargello.
In Anghiari, as part of the Uffizi diffusi project, in the rooms of the Museo della Battaglia and Anghiari, “The civilization of weapons and the Courts of the Renaissance” takes place until next January 6, an opportunity to reveal a new story on men of arms, the social class that distinguished Anghiari between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. The works from the Uffizi Galleries are significant for recounting that period and for describing the success of Leonardo’s idea in the representation of cavalry battles. In Poppi, until November 30th “In the sign of Dante. The Casentino in the Comedy “, a tribute to Alighieri exile from Florence, in the land that first welcomed him in his exile, the Casentino and where Dante wrote a part of the Divine Comedy.
