With the arrival of October, the city of Arezzo and its territory offer a new weekend to live, with many events in the sign of antiques, archeology, dance, photography.
Antique Fair and Dandy Days in Arezzo
Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 October in the historical center of Arezzo returns the expected appointment with the Antique Fair. Three hundred exhibitors, from all over Italy, offer thousands of visitors their objects of art, furniture, jewelry and bijoux. The exhibitors branch out from all the streets of the city’s historic center and the “precious” Piazza Grande.
The October edition of the Antiques Fair is enriched with the “DandyDays, Masters of elegance in the streets of the center” a meeting dedicated to beauty and style. Are expected in Arezzo gentlemen and stylish ladies from all over the boot and beyond. Testimonial of the event, as grand master of ceremonies, Stefano Agnoloni. The event, now in its fifth edition, includes many appointments and has a charitable purpose: the funds collected will be donated to the city institute “Casa Thevenin” that welcomes children with family problems and school difficulties and single mothers in difficult situations.

Dandy Days in Arezzo – event program
Paleofest, prehistory in Montevarchi
Discoveries, meetings, experiences, exhibitions and shows will animate the fourth edition of “Paleofest. The Festival of Prehistory” that on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 October will liven up the Paleonotological Museum and the city center of Montevarchi. Wide the program of events of the weekend, including excursions “geological” in the territory (Saturday and Sunday morning), the presentation of the documentary film on the discovery of fossil Mammuthus meridionalis in Valdarno (Saturday, October 2 at 15.30), thematic workshops on prehistory involving children and the first edition of the Italian Paleoarte Award, a competition of artistic productions and prehistoric reconstructions, in collaboration with the Italian Geological Society (Sunday at 18.30).Paleofest. prehistory in Montevarchi – program
Other dances, everybody to the circus
In the natural paradise of Ponte Buriano, a few kilometers from the center of Arezzo, from Friday, October 1 to Sunday, October 10 comes the event “Altre danze, tutti al circo!”, an event in collaboration between the Associazione Sosta Palmizi and the Fondazione Guido d’Arezzo. Wide range of contemporary dance and circus shows, with the review that opens with a weekend dedicated entirely to “LiminaL” the new creation, for the first time in Tuscany, Fabiana Ruiz Diaz, co-director with Giacomo Costantini of Circo El Grito. Three shows over the weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at 21.00.

Cortona On the Move, last week-end
Cortona On The Move, the international photography exhibition-event promoting contemporary photography as a language in search of new visions and original forms of visual communication, closes its doors this weekend. Three are the venues in Cortona that host the exhibitions: Fortezza del Girifalco, Giardini del Parterre and Palazzo Baldelli. Here, seven original photographic projects of the Reconstruction section are presented, through which some emerging authors have experimented with the use of imagination to investigate reality and capture its essence.

Orange Treasure Hunt in Castiglion Fiorentino
Sunday, October 3 returns the Orange Treasure Hunt, in 100 villages Orange Flag throughout Italy, will be held at the same time the new edition of the largest treasure hunt ever seen. A playful and fun way to discover places, people and flavors of the beautiful places certified by the Italian Touring Club. The event “orange” also participates in Castiglion Fiorentino, the village already populated in Etruscan times. The beginning of the “Treasure Hunt” is at 15.00 and for three hours the participants, following the clues, will be able to discover the hidden treasures of the historic center.
