Podere Il Fitto

Podere Il Fitto currently covers an area of 30 hectares, with 15 hectares of vineyards, an olive grove and the remainder cultivated as arable land. It is located in a strategic hilly area south of Cortona, along the road that connects to Montepulciano, making it easy to reach cities like Florence, Siena, Perugia and Rome.
With its family-run business, Podere Il Fitto pursues its goal of offering high quality products, enhancing rural tourism and keeping traditions alive whilst keeping an eye on innovation and the future. The vineyards are planted with certified material and with a density of 5,000 vines per hectare. They are cultivated with the best agronomic practices in full respect for the environment, complying with organic farming regulations.
Podere Il Fitto is located within the Cortona DOC appellation, with soils that are particularly suited to the production of Syrah grapes, vinified both on their own and in blends. The winery also offers excellent Sangiovese and Trebbiano. There is also an agritourism on the property. It is surrounded by a 3,000 square metre garden and a swimming pool, all immersed in the green vineyards of the farm.
