Baracchi

The Baracchi estate is located in the heart of DOC Cortona and boasts 32 hectares of vineyards in four different locations. This “terroir” has been renowned for centuries for its predisposition to high quality viticulture, a result of the unique combination of its high altitude, marl soils, great light and a fantastic warm, dry microclimate with significant temperature fluctuations.
From the outset, the selection of the various grape varieties was carefully calibrated according to the characteristics of the different soils, so as to enhance their special and typical local qualities. The aim is to produce wines that not only reflect and express the terroir, but are also capable of reinterpreting it as the seasons and oenological techniques evolve.
The estate has had the courage to innovate and produce something that is truly distinctive, making its wines unique. As proof we have the first Metodo Classico sparkling wines made from native Tuscan grapes, such as Sangiovese and Trebbiano, but also the unusual blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, the first Syrah Riserva of DOC Cortona, and the innovative Sangiovesone, a Sangiovese-based wine like never before.
Over the years, the Baracchi brand has become synonymous with quality and innovation, distinguished by its ability to create exceptional wines and a willingness to go beyond the boundaries of tradition.
