Pergentina

Nestled in the green Casentino Valley, the history of Pergentina is closely intertwined with the land on which it stands.
There are historical documents dating back to 1200 that attest to the Tenuta’s belonging within the jurisdiction of the Conti Guidi di Poppi, the powerful lords who hosted and gave protection to the Supreme Poet, Dante Alighieri.
The selection of Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Merlot and Manzoni Bianco vines was done after a careful analysis of the soils, their exposure and the microclimate of the Casentino valley, which allow for the production of wines that can express their territoriality and full-bodied nature at their finest.
The wine cellar is designed according to principles of functionality and sophistication, and being largely underground, it benefits from temperatures and humidity that are held constant. One portion is used for winemaking and processing, while another part is used to welcome wine enthusiasts and tourists with a special tasting room and a large panoramic terrace.
