Cantina Vini Tipici dell’Aretino

The Cantina dei Vini Tipici dell’Aretino is an Association of Winegrowers that brings together more than four hundred members, who own over eight hundred hectares of specialised vineyards in the Province of Arezzo. Founded in 1970 by its first members, the Cantina started its activities the following year, vinifying 10,006 quintals of grapes conferred. Over the years, both the number of members and the quantity of grapes conferred have progressively increased, partly due to the adoption of the total conferment obligation. This made it possible to finance the renewal of a large portion of the society vineyards, introducing new clones and varieties of high quality vines with adequate planting densities.
Currently, the winery receives on average an annual amount of over sixty thousand quintals of grapes, divided into about a third for each of our appellations: DOCG Chianti, IGT Toscana and DOC Valdichiana Toscana.
For over 20 years, the Cantina has had a number of important quality certifications. Each member farmer executes a controlled viticulture, adhering to the Cantina certified quality standards. Our technicians periodically carry out numerous tests and inspections to ensure origin, purity and genuineness during each production stage.
