The Verdi Theater has decided to relaunch the theater season with “The painful notes of the Osiris Band” on Wednesday 14 July from 9.15 pm with Sandro Berti (mandolin, guitar, violin, trombone), Gianluigi Carlone (voice, sax, flute), Roberto Carlone ( trombone, bass, keyboards) and Giancarlo Macrì (percussion, drums, bass tuba).
Taking a cue from the book of the same name, “The painful notes. The profession of the musician ”the Osiris Band transforms written pages into a musical-theatrical journey to the edge of reality. Through composed and decomposed music, chamber and balcony music, Beatles and Vasco Rossi, the Banda Osiris sketches the merciless portrait of the musician: presumptuous, touchy, unfortunate, hated, loved.
Thursday 15th July
The return of Paolo Benvegnù, with the new band, anticipated by the release of his new album. Paolo Benvegnù is one of the most interesting Italian songwriters. Mina also reinterpreted one of her songs “Io e Te”, but her songs were also sung by Irene Grandi (It’s just a dream), Giusy Ferreri, Marina Rei (The vertical sea). Benvegnù was the founding guitarist-singer of Scisma, an essential Italian alternative-rock group. His career is full of productions and collaborations, including the latest album “Dell’odio dell’innocenza” which was a finalist for the 2020 Tenco Award.

A show that questions the true protagonist of the Divine Comedy, whether it really is Dante Alighieri or the goal, the supreme goal of his journey: Beatrice. Stefano Benni answers us with a tribute and a collection entitled, precisely, Beatrici. First a play and then a book, Le Beatrici is an act of homage to the female figure and a dedication to all the actresses. A contemporary “cantata” brought to the stage by the voice of Amanda Sandrelli and the piano of Rita Marcotulli in an alternation between monologues and songs that pay homage to the complexity of the female figure.

An evening tribute to the great artist Lucio Dalla From How deep is the sea in Futura and Piazza Grande, up to the lesser known works.
The protagonists, each in their own way and on tiptoe, interpret the father of Italian music par excellence in its most diverse shades, giving life to a complete overview, each expressing their soul through the interpretation of this great timeless artist. . With Tommaso Novi, Luca Guidi, Giulia Pratelli, Gio Mannucci.
