The Madonna dei Lumi appeared to the faithful in numerous events in the 17th century which were later classified as miraculous. The most heartfelt celebration, unfortunately this year reduced due to Covid, but which maintains its traditional charm linked to spirituality and tradition.
On the evening of 07th September, the usual procession will take place starting from the Tempietto del Colledestro, followed by the lighting of the fires on the Tiber River and the religious celebration.
September 08th will instead be dedicated to various events of a spiritual nature.
Traditionally during this festival the Palio dei Lumi, of historical Calcio in Costume, would have taken place, as well as the traditional bingo in the square, the midnight fireworks and numerous other events unfortunately canceled for this edition but which will return in the coming years.
