  5. THE PLANETARIUM OF THE NATIONAL PARK TURNS 20 YEARS OLD

The Planetarium of the National Park turns 20 years old

A series of stops across the Casentino territory, to learn about stars and planets guided by the Planetarium’s Astronomy Enthusiasts, celebrating 20 years of activity.

The Planetarium of the Casentino Forests National Park is a permanent facility in the province of Arezzo dedicated to the understanding of astronomy, offering a comprehensive program of monthly events. Its 20th anniversary will be celebrated with a particularly rich program of activities during the summer months, featuring thematic meetings and observations focused on the summer sky, the Perseid meteor shower, meteorites – an opportunity to get closer to the beauties of our natural satellite and the future prospects of its “new” exploration. Fascinating starlit walks will also be offered, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the National Park.
The initiatives will resume in October with an evening dedicated to the giant planets of the solar system and a splendid walk along the Wolf Path.
Lastly, as Christmas approaches, a day dedicated to the winter solstice with an 11 km walk to admire the Sasso del Regio, discovered near Stia.
