Now in its twenty-third edition, the “Le Notti dell’Archeologia” (The Nights of Archaeology) event is a precious opportunity to participate in visits and in-depth studies in museums and archaeological sites
In the 2023 edition, the theme proposed for the special initiatives will be that of the different attention to well-being over time and across cultures: in fact, the process towards comforts is not only not linear in time nor diffuse in space, but even in the same societies diversified standards according to distinctions of status have coexisted – and still coexist today.
Reflecting on the inequalities in the right to wellbeing will also make it possible to reflect on the subject of cultural wellbeing, in which museums are protagonists.

THE CASTLE OF MONTEDOMENICI
Meeting with architect Giancarlo Barucci
The Castle of Montedomenici, located in the Chianti hills, is an ancient fortress of which we have little information. We know that it already existed in the 13th century and that it was destroyed in the 15th century by the Florentines to prevent it from falling into the hands of Siena. Architect Giancarlo Barucci has dedicated an architectural study to the castle of Montedomenici, analysing many aspects of the structure.
