The Premio Pieve Saverio Tutino, dedicated to the culture of memory, reaches its 39th edition
The National Diaristic Archive of Pieve Santo Stefano collects over 6,000 writings of ordinary people, a treasure trove for collective memory. Each year, eight Diaries received by the Archive during the past year are awarded by a jury, with an event that offers meetings, exhibitions, and insights into writing, history, and memory. The town of Pieve Santo Stefano, also known as the City of Diaries, houses a public archive in the historic town hall that has been collecting diaries, correspondence, and autobiographical memories reflecting the lives of everyone and the history of Italy since 1984. This year’s award is dedicated to Saverio Tutino, the founder of the Archive, on the centenary of his birth.
