Pieve Classica presents “Journey of Love”

Viaggi d’amore” (Love Journeys) is a recital with readings and interpretations of both poetic and prose texts, as well as musical pieces, which have love as their common theme. It is intended to be a musical and poetic journey through the great authors who have tried to describe love. Everything seems to have been said about love. Love is a feeling, it is joy, pain, hope, fear, serenity, wonder… that is why in the show we will have the support of voices of great literature from Danta to D’Annunzio, from Neruda to Vinicio de Moraes, with the refined contour of musical pieces ranging from jazz standards to Italian author music, passing through the Latin jazz and world music tradition. There is a desire to offer a kind of second voice -the musical one- that acts as a counterpoint to that of poetry and storytelling. Words and music will thus travel hand in hand in this sentimental journey, with the intention of extrapolating emotions and memories.
