Piano Restart course

From July 15th to 18th and July 30th the “Natural Piano” festival will start again in Pratovecchio \ Stia, an immersive experience between music and nature in the scenarios of the Casentino valley. The restart will offer a varied and rich program of ideas, also involving places never reached before in the Casentino area. Of course, Piano this year more than ever opens up to a spirit and a way of sharing broad and synergistic with other disciplines.

Eleven shows, twenty artists, thirteen pianos and over two hundred and fifty volunteers. These are the numbers of the Festival dedicated to Piano which in this 2021 starts again in Casentino to bring music and art even to nature.
The first appointment, Thursday 15 July, is opened by Giuseppina Torre who will play the piano at the Cloister of the Church of the Camaldoli monastery at 17.00 continuing with the concert at sunset by Andrea Mirò at the Baracchi Foundation in Bibbiena at 20.00 to conclude the concert in Piazza Tanucci in Stia con Dente, at 9.00 pm.
On July 16, the appointments will be concentrated in Chiusi della Verna with a poetic reading at 6.30 pm by Franco Arminio, at the Faggeta del Santuario to continue with the concert “Between music and poetry” by Moni Ovadia and Giovanna Famulari at 9.00 pm.
On 17 July at 5.00 pm there will be a walk through the historic center of Pratovecchio and at the end a performance on the piano by Luis di Gennaro. In the evening from 20.00 onwards some concerts will take place between Pratovecchio and Stia with guests including Enrico Ruggeri, Uribe Duo, Sara Pittavini, Silva Costanzo, Clare Ibbot and Angelo Calvo.
On July 18, the day will open with a concert at dawn by Ricciarda Belgioioso and Walter Prati at the Pieve di Romena, starting at 5.30. At 5.00 pm there will be a concert on the banks of the Arno with Luis di Gennaro and at 8.00 pm the concerts by Patrizio Fariselli will begin at the Porciano Castle in Stia and at 9.00 pm in Piazza J. Landino in Pratovecchio the concert by Raphael Gualazzi.

Extraordinarily for this “restart” edition, the festival will end with the special live appointment of the world-famous pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi, who with his “Summer Tour” will stop on July 30 in Pratovecchio Stia in the space in front of the Pieve di San Pietro to Romena.

In addition to music, during the week of the festival, the street artist Sedicente Moradi will give vent to his creativity by creating installations with recycled wood, while Nicola Doni will organize Stone Balancing workshops on the banks of the Arno and demonstrations at the Pieve di Romena.
