14 new installations completing the Open-Air Permanent Gallery, which establishes the town of Casentino as the City of Photography.
At the CIFA, Italian Center for Author Photography (via delle Monache 2), the exhibition dedicated to Nino Migliori, one of the most authoritative and multifaceted Italian researchers in the field of photography. A selection of over 220 works that cover the entire span of his professional history and the variety and complexity of his visual language, which has continued to evolve and enrich, just like the photography that has always accompanied him.
From the realistic photographs of the 1950s, filled with the desire to rediscover a finally free Italy after the war, to the Off-camera experiments already carried out in 1948, where the author’s interest in the act and the photographic material (photosensitive paper, developing and fixing liquids) emerges, intersecting with the pictorial informality of those years and the more contemporary works of the last two decades.
The exhibition also presents six unpublished works, including a single piece created in February of this year.
