The 'European Night of Museums' is an initiative taking place at the same time all over Europe, with special evening openings and admission at the symbolic cost of one euro (where admission is charged) in the main state museums, monumental complexes, parks and archaeological sites.

Basilica of St. Francis

20.00-23.00 – Guided tours of the Bacci Chapel at 20.00- 20.30- 21.00- 21.30- 22.00- 22.30. Reservation required

National Archaeological Museum “Gaio Cilnio Mecenate” and Roman Amphitheatre
via Margaritone, 10 – 52100 Arezzo
8 – 11 pm Last admission at 10.15 pm
8.15 p.m. and 9.30 p.m.: visits to the restoration site of the frescoes with the stories of St Benedict detached from the walls of the cloister during the Second World War by the director of works, Paola Ilaria Mariotti
9 p.m. Presentation of the book ‘A tavola con gli etruschi. Viaggio alla scoperta dei Rasenna attraverso il loro rapporto con il cibo” live music, ancient dances and tastings.

It will still be possible to visit the museum independently, with no time restrictions.

Museum of Folk Arts and Traditions of the Upper Tiber Valley – Palazzo Taglieschi

7.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m. Special opening in agreement and in conjunction with the Museo della Battaglia e di Anghiari with accompanied tours of the museum collections 7.15 p.m. – 8.10 p.m. – 9.10 p.m.
