National Day of the Walk among the Olives

A walk or bicycle ride through Val di Chio to discover local customs and traditions.

Walking surrounded by the evocative landscape of olive trees is an unmissable experience promoted by the “Città dell’Olio” Association in 141 Italian cities, including Castiglion Fiorentino. A day-long event that represents a sort of shared and collective embrace towards the environment, specifically towards the olive tree, which more than any other protects the ecosystem and the rural landscape.
Castiglion Fiorentino has chosen an easy 9-kilometer route among olives with unique historical and environmental features. It will also be possible to participate in the walk with traditional or electric bikes. The event also includes a tasting of the new oil at the Badini Oil Mill.
