The Poppi Castle is the symbol of the entire Casentino and is located in the centre of the valley, in a dominant position. It could not but be the venue for the exhibition by Alberto Fornasari, photographer of nature and landscape.
“The beauties of Casentino range from the enchanting villages (….) to the natural wonders of the National Park of the Casentino Forests, a wooded area of white firs and beeches, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, divided between Tuscany and Romagna, maples and oaks among the most precious in Europe. The ancient forests, among the largest and best preserved in Europe, are the custodians of an enormous floral heritage, of numerous birds among which the golden eagle stands out, and of a fauna of great importance including the wolf among the great predators and a massive presence of ungulates such as deer, roe deer and fallow deer’.
In these words and in Fornasari’s photos, we can capture the essence of this valley, Fine Art Landscapes, shots captured and exhibited in the “Sala delle Feste” of the Castello di Poppi. The event is organised as part of the Park’s 30th anniversary.
The exhibition can be visited upon payment of the entrance ticket to the Castello dei Conti Guidi in Poppi.
