The exhibition will be open until October 17 with the work “Il giardino di notte” (The garden at night), winner of the public notice “Cantica21. Italian Contemporary Art Everywhere“, section Under 35. Donated to the municipal collection of Casa Masaccio, the painting is placed in dialogue, by the artist himself, with some works already present in the permanent collection of the museum.
The public commission initiative, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, aims to support research and practice on contemporary visual arts, the ideational abilities and the work of Italian artists, to support the conception and realization of the works and, above all, to promote their re-launch on international markets through the Italian cultural institutes and the diplomatic-consular network. Institutions and artists are part of the same community that sees art as a fundamental tool to interpret contemporaneity and offer a fresh look at the Italy of today.
The selected unpublished works will be exhibited in a large exhibition of widespread art that will take place in the Italian Cultural Institutes, Embassies and Consulates around the world.
