The Guido d’Arezzo National Polyphonic Competition this year becomes a choral showcase with three selected choral ensembles, among the most prestigious at the Italian level and all winners of important awards in prominent competitions, including, of course, the one in Arezzo.
Performing will be the choir “Sibi Consoni” directed by Roberta Paraninfo, the choir “Ensemble Vocale Calycanthus” directed by Pietro Ferrario, and the female section of the “Gruppo Vocale Novecento” directed by Maurizio Sacquegna.
In the repertoire presented in the concert, there will be a selection of predominantly sacred pieces, with particular attention to choral production of the twentieth and contemporary century, allowing the audience to listen to interpretations and performances of the highest level entrusted to the skilled hands of three important conductors.
