Foiano Book Festival

Fifth edition of the event offering meetings with authors, musical, theatrical, and cinematic performances in the historic center of Foiano della Chiana.

‘The Wandering World’ is the title of the fifth edition for a festival of cultural exploration that focuses on diversity, adventure and travel. A festival that in its 2023 edition aims to celebrate literature, art, music and culture from different parts of the world. “The Wandering World” is inspired by an emblematic character from literature: Don Quixote.
From 3 to 19 November, the programme offers numerous events and manages to bring together local and emerging writers with established personalities such as Neri Marcorè, Paolo Rossi, actor Edoardo Leo and Stefano Massini.
The heart of the festival is the scenic halls of the Galleria Furio del Furia and the Carbonaia. This edition’s guests also include “Strega Prize winners” Francesco Piccolo, Edoardo Nesi, Veronica Raimo, Tiziano Scarpa and best-selling authors Maurizio De Giovanni, Erri De Luca, Piergiorgio Pulixi, Paolo Di Paolo.
A side event of the Festival, the closing concert of the Robbiano year with the artist Angelo Branduardi in duo with Fabio Valdemarin, scheduled for Sunday 3 December (9 pm) at the Church of Santi Martino e Michele Arcangelo.
