Fiera del Mestolo is the large traditional market that brings the streets of Arezzo city centre to life in September
The historic event returns, bringing stalls, products, flavours and objects linked to everyday life to the city centre each year.
The event takes place shortly before the beginning of the grape harvest and its name preserves the memory of the ancient agricultural fairs, when people from the countryside came into the city to buy and renew the tools needed for work in the fields and for harvesting grapes.
Today, Fiera del Mestolo is a large popular market that brings together tradition, trade and conviviality. Along the streets of the centre, visitors will find a wide range of products, household items, wooden and wicker objects, utensils, food and wine specialities.
For three days, Arezzo once again welcomes one of its most recognisable fairs, keeping alive its connection with the agricultural history of the area while transforming the centre into a lively place for meeting and strolling.
