The weekend will start at 4 pm on October 30th with the walk “Il borgo sospeso nel tempo” (The village suspended in time) that will take you through some places traditionally linked to the culture of Raggiolo in a journey between the Middle Ages and the chestnut. “Stars, sparks and stornelli” is instead the name of the evening that, from 20.00, will propose a dinner under the stars around the lit stump in Piazza San Michele, followed by brice and mulled wine and popular music of Motofolk.
On Sunday 31 at 10.00 am you can visit the Chestnut Ecomuseum and the market stands with artistic and handicraft products, followed by the possibility to enjoy a take-away lunch with local flavors.
At 2:00 p.m., visits to the Cavallari Dryhouse and the Morino Mill will begin, followed at 3:00 p.m. by a historical and scenic walk through the village.
At 15.30 and 16.30 are scheduled two puppet shows for children in the small square of the Sepolcreto by the Teatro dell’Aggeggio of Paolo Valenti, while at 16.00 by the reenactments of the crushing of chestnuts in baskets with cloven hooves and the ancient techniques of preparation of polenta with chestnut flour.
At 17.00 the dryer and the mill will host the stories told by Samuele Boncompagni and Andrea Schiatti, during the traditional appointment of “Tempo di veglia”.
