At Villa Gennaioli in Anghiari, Faust Cardinali's retrospective exhibition 'The Last Battle'. The title of the exhibition refers to Leonardo da Vinci's Battle of Anghiari, not as a celebration of war but of conciliation.

Faust Cardinali, is a multifaceted artist who expresses himself through painting, sculpture, installations and goldsmithing.
The themes of liquidity, of the fluidity of matter, of the violence of existence in relation to the lightness of the soul are reflected in the materials used, both poor and precious, moulded from polyvinyl, the founding element of aesthetics, which he himself defines as “pictorial skin”.

On display for the first time will be the large painting that gives the exhibition its title, created for this occasion, inspired by the Montedoglio dam, seen by the author as a collective unconscious and “plastic psychological matter”.
Some historical works will also be presented: the installation “Baptême (un affaire liquide)” realised in 2001 in the church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris, and the work “La peur du vide” of 1998, which presents, among others, an element realised precisely at the Motina di Anghiari in the 1980s.
