European Night of Museums in Arezzo


On Saturday 3 July, on the occasion of the European Night of Museums 2021, the museums of the city of Arezzo open to the public in the evening, for special visits to learn about the historical, cultural and artistic heritage.

The European Night of Museums is back on Saturday 3 July 2021. The event born in 2005 by the French Ministry of Culture, with the patronage of Unesco, the Council of Europe and ICOM, opens the doors of museums in the evening, with guided tours at unusual times and special initiatives to get to know the heritage artistic.

In Arezzo Casa Museo Ivan Bruschi offers three guided tours of the exhibition L’Oriente in Casa, works from the Frederick Stibbert collection with theatrical interventions by the actor Samuele Boncompagni who will interpret the most beautiful pages of novels and stories that speak of culture and history of these countries that still enchant and strike the imagination of all of us today. European Night of Museums also at the MUMEC Means of Communication Museum in Arezzo joins with the extraordinary evening opening from 20.30 to 23.30 with symbolic admission to 1 euro. During the visit there is the possibility of accessing both the permanent collection, ranging from the history of cinema to that of photography, telephony and communication in general, and the current exhibitions: – 100 YEARS OF FELLINI – Curiosities in the suitcases of noise and stage photographers – Exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Italian director Federico Fellini. – DANTE 700, Tin Tin playing with such a sweet note – Science in literature; the history of watchmaking traced in Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. Extraordinary evening opening of the National Archaeological Museum “Gaio Cilnio Mecenate” and the Amphitheater of Arezzo. From 8 pm to 11 pm, symbolic ticket of 1 euro, themed guided tours accompanied by the tourist guides of Confcommercio Confguide Arezzo with scheduled departures at 8 pm, 9 pm and 10 pm.
