Enigma: Giallo al MUMEC

Three murder mystery evenings at MUMEC to discover the mystery surrounding the death of Alan Turing, through investigation, history and scientific outreach

MUMEC – Museum of Communication Media in Arezzo opens its rooms to “Enigma: Murder Mystery at MUMEC”, an immersive experience combining game, historical mystery and scientific outreach.

Three murder mystery evenings dedicated to the figure of Alan Turing, mathematician, cryptanalyst and father of modern computing. Participants will be involved in a step-by-step investigation inside the museum, called upon to solve logic puzzles, decipher codes, gather clues and reconstruct the mystery linked to Turing’s human and scientific story.

The museum visit becomes an active and participatory experience. The public will not be mere spectators, but part of a real investigative team, guided through the rooms of MUMEC by historical characters played by the museum staff.

Through the search for clues, short theatrical scenes and moments of exploration, “Enigma: Murder Mystery at MUMEC” offers an opportunity to approach the history of cryptography, Turing’s decisive role during the Second World War and the complexity of his life.

An event open to all those who wish to experience the museum in a different way, through the history of communication, logic, investigation and storytelling.
