Cortona Comics

A festival dedicated to young people and comic book enthusiasts. Two weekends in which the Cloister of Sant’Agostino will be the nerve centre of meetings with authors, live video broadcasts and many initiatives


There will be many guests in the rich programme including the fantasy isllustre srtist Charles Vess and other guests such as: Gabriele Dell’Otto, Nicola Mari, Matteo De Longis, Fabio Civitelli, Clod, Claudio Sciarrone, Casty, Frekt, Federico Bertolucci.
Plenty of space will also be given to didactics, with the International School of Comics of Florence, which will organise courses and workshops, as well as specific events for the very young that will take place during the first weekend, curated by Maria Teresa Conte and Teresa Cherubini. There will also be a part dedicated to Games, located in the upper area of the Cloister of Sant’Agostino, with board games, miniatures, and everything related to the universe of games.
Palazzo Ferretti will host an exhibition dedicated to three great talents of comics, Elena Casagrande, Carmine Di Giandomenico and Stefano Raffaele, who will be present on the weekend of 1 and 2 June.


This year’s concert will be on 30 May at the Stadio Comunale Santi Tiezzi Cortona, with ALFA, a young singer-songwriter from Genoa, revelation of the last edition of the Sanremo Festival. On the Ariston stage he was able to unite generations by singing, with Roberto Vecchioni, ‘Sogna, ragazzo, sogna’. Clara, the protagonist of ‘Mare fuori’ who made her debut as a singer at the last Sanremo Festival, will open the concert. This will be followed by Achille Lauro, who will bring to the stage his “Summer Fest. A Rave Before The Iliad”.
