In this green and panoramic excursion we will admire the castle of Galbino from above, then we will reach the Passo della Scheggia and then head towards the castle of Montauto, one of the Tuscan places frequented by the poor man of Assisi, especially in the last tormented years of his existence. On 30 September 1224, descending from La Verna, San Francesco spent the night there and Count Alberto, lord of the fortress, welcomed him with the affection he reserved for his best friends. In compensation he asked him for the habit he was wearing. The same restored habit that we can see at the sanctuary of La Verna where it is currently located.
