Three days of music, performances, and gastronomy for the first edition of the Beltane Celtic Festival. A rich program with over seventy initiatives aimed at all ages and free admission.
A fascinating journey through the atmosphere and traditions of Celtic peoples. The event has its roots in the desire to revive the climate and atmosphere of the ancient Beltane festival, which celebrated the beginning of the seasons of light, fertility, and marriages, coinciding with the arrival of the month of May, between the spring equinox and the summer solstice.
The festival will open at 6:00 PM, with historical encampments coming to life, gastronomic stands offering Celtic specialties, and a craft market with artisanal products. The central theme of the three days will be the reenactments of Celtic weddings, known as “handfasting,” with a faithful reconstruction of the pagan ritual accompanied by incense and the sounds of handpans and flutes. The program will be particularly rich with performances, including Irish dances, magic shows, fire games, and roaming music of bagpipes and drums. Special attention has been given to entertainment for children with workshops and storytelling.
Beltane Celtic Festival will also feature workshops and conferences related to the festival’s themes, handfasting, fertility and nature, shamanism, and taromancy.
