"Anghiari under a starry dome", a collective art exhibition in honour of Margherita Hack (1922/2013), on the centenary of the birth of the world famous astrophysicist.

An exhibition of painting, sculpture and ceramics in which eighty artists from all regions have gathered in Anghiari, one of the ‘most beautiful villages in Italy’, to express their emotions about the life and career of the famous Florentine astrophysicist. Those same emotions materialise in heterogeneous works, created with various techniques and styles, which are housed in the various floors and rooms of Villa Gennaioli, a splendid residence recovered thanks to the collaboration between the Gennaioli Foundation and the Banca di Anghiari e Stia Credito Cooperativo to make it a “house of the arts” and a cultural space of reference for the Valtiberina.

For its entire duration, the exhibition “Anghiari under a starry dome” will be enriched by collateral initiatives that will have as their leitmotif women who have distinguished themselves in the scientific field. For this reason, theme evenings, meetings and conferences are planned.

Info: the exhibition will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 3 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., with free admission. On the other days, guided tours by appointment are planned.
