At the Museo Orodautore in Arezzo, an exhibition dedicated to one of the leading figures of contemporary Italian jewellery
The Museo Orodautore in Arezzo presents the exhibition “Alberto Zorzi, Extraordinary Goldsmith Sculptor and the Artist’s Jewel”, a solo show dedicated to the Venetian master goldsmith, one of the most significant figures in contemporary artist jewellery.
Curated by Giuliano Centrodi, the exhibition is hosted in the newly opened spaces of the Salone del Torri, with entrance from Via Vasari 3. The display features a selection of historical and recent works by Zorzi, highlighting his ability to transform jewellery into sculptural objects, wearable artworks and independent artistic expressions.
Among the highlights is the gold brooch “La Città-Arezzo”, inspired by the urban layout of the city and created using layered and tubular elements with satin, matte and polished finishes. The exhibition also includes pieces from the Structura and Scrittura series, alongside creations connected to the Pitagora and Fellini projects, developed in collaboration with Greggio Argenti 1948.
The exhibition also offers an opportunity to discover the Museo Orodautore, a unique institution dedicated to contemporary jewellery, with a collection of more than 350 works including jewellery, ornaments and micro-sculptures. A journey that explores the deep connection between Arezzo, its goldsmithing tradition and contemporary artistic experimentation.
