Pieve Classica

Pieve Classica is a comprehensive season dedicated to classical music, opera, jazz and modern art. The festival has rapidly acquired an important place on the national scene, seeing many renowned musicians perform over the years.

An initiative that was born almost by chance, thanks to the insistence of Baritone Andrea Sari in the summer of 2014 .

The idea of giving space to music, specifically opera, classical and otherwise, might have seemed unoriginal, unattractive, but this was not the case, on the contrary!

After that "Gianni Schicchi" of Summer 2014, the idea slowly took shape and was dressed up with some particular characteristics that helped us grow: the choice of the period, that of the first months of the year, usually "uncovered" of events, together with the desire to present a rich programme that, if on the one hand could have seemed too full-bodied, on the other hand created expectation in fans and a healthy habit, that of being able to count on a weekly appointment with beautiful music.

PIEVE CLASSICA is also a showcase for young talents, especially from our area, together with established artists, also aiming at concerts for school audiences, thus with a popularising purpose.

The organisation of this important musical season is the result of a collaboration between the Municipality of Pieve and the Altotiberino Choir, with the important support of Proloco di Pieve and Associazione La Disperata Gang.
